It's what we're supposed to do

The words written down so long ago
Comin true today you know
The end will get you out of the night
Armegeddon is in peace tonight

Is a new season of humanity about to begin
Change is so fast we accept unreality without a whim
Are we the people entrusted with the in-between
From the family without a home to their king and queen

The Universe all comes in at you so very fast
The moments flee on by even memories don't last
But the planet is alive with a mind of its own
Heartbeat by heartbeat our lives are on loan

Listen to me
Listen all of you
The future is already history
It's what we're supposed to do

Every life is part of the Creator's senses in this Universe
Like an up and down, left and right, there's good and perverse
The air entraps the water and spins in towering clouds around
With a force to flood, bash and crush humans to the ground

Then to make the ground quake and roll to tear and crumble
When mountains explode in towering ash and liquid molten rubble
Billion electron volt cloud neurons firing above our beds
I wonder what thoughts are in our planet's head

Is she happy or sad
Or broiling frothy mad
Is she expanding deserts and causing floods
Is she punishing us because we haven't been good

Listen to me

It's what we're supposed to do

Think about this if you please
We, you are the person in-between
Like a mirror your Universe is a reflection
You have your own unique view of Creation

Change your tiny part of your world to enhance love of life
To be a champion conquering dark fears with Creation's light
We are all together the human community in this Aquarian age
Living the stories and choices to become tomorrow's history page

So I wonder what the planet thinks of you and me
Are our actions causing untold pain and misery
From the edge of the solar system to the deepest sea
Sending our machines where we can't ever be

Did you know the Universe is throwing our machines back at us
When the leader of the free countries lies, who can Aliens trust
Let your mind and soul drift once above in Earth orbit
What a sad sorry state of affairs on the third planet

Hatred like a raging fire consuming the lives and souls
Human lemming being driven by our choices of roles
We've all been told before we should have know
We've come to harvest time eating what we've sown

Tell me fellow human and please tell me true
Is who you are just a mirror reflection of you
Will you be able to look God straight in the eye
With fearless love have the courage to ask why

It's all so evidently clear to me
Open your soul and you'll surely see
Reality must be truthful to be useful
The music of Creation is joyful

Gravity has been conquered with spinning magnetic waves
We could have cities in the sky if the wise were brave
But the powers that be feed on fear and greed
Thinkin only of money loosing it is all they've seen

They fail to see the other glorious possibilities
An economy based on the diverse richness of human equity
Now we get rich the higher we pile our children's bones
Soon a visitor may wonder where all the humans have gone

Come together and build a city in the stars
Human capability has finally come that far
Every human soul needs to orbit the Earth
To look at the fragile cradle of their birth

To finally remember once again we have never been alone
To apply common sense to science egos anchored in stone
To realize only we can change our choices forgoing fear and greed
To realize our strengths and joys in diverse communities

To each make the effort in our own daily routine
To find joy in the midst of deepest needs
To reach out with grace for those less fortunate
To teach with patience those less intelligent

You are the center of your Creator's Universe
Life is lived as it happens no chance to rehearse
Your soul's energy powers the flame of Creation's light
Flickering always between the wrongness and the right

You are the light of your path through the in-between
Between the promise of peace and the hatred we've seen
Individually choice by choice the planet's direction is set
In the end we will truly deserve whatever we get

So I ask you fellow human take a good look all around
We will poison the surface and be forced underground
Over a Martian's head thin wind piles the wasted rusty dust
We are spoiling our own bed and it could happen to us
