The world is in such an awful shape
You want to represent this state
Can you turn hearts to tolerance not hate
Do you have the capabilities it will take

Behind the eyes in the mirror is the Universe looking at you
Deep inside is the sparks that begin all you say n do
But when your journey to the in-between suddenly looms
It is through your heart that the jolt is shot through

Does your soul get the connection between heart n mind
That tolerance is the path of salvation for all humankind
But it must be in truth with no more false story lines
It is the only way humanity will last through all of time

Decisions made in greedy power not for the common good
So much to accomplish if we only believed we really could
With the truth that we're not alone in the solar neighborhood
